What is our curriculum intent?

Our KS3 PSHCE curriculum is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to thrive as healthy, safe, responsible and active citizens. It supports pupils’ personal development, wellbeing, safeguarding and preparation for future life in line with statutory Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) requirements.

Our intent is to deliver a PSHCE curriculum that:

  • Builds students’ confidence, resilience and character.
  • Promotes inclusion, equality and respect for diversity.
  • Prepares pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
  • Responds to current safeguarding risks such as online harms, misogyny and digital safety.
