It is with enormous sadness that I share with the St. Crispin’s School community that Win Patterson, past Deputy Headteacher, Maths Teacher and Dearest Colleague, has passed away.

Win was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease shortly after retiring and with the greatest of strength and courage faced this cruel disease with enormous fortitude.

Win joined St. Crispin’s in 1991 and was a most wonderful colleague giving his working life to the deepest care, kindness and personal encouragement of thousands of past and present staff and students.

Katie, Win’s daughter, along with family and friends are running the Reading Half Marathon in April in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association I am sure there are many in the St. Crispin’s community who might wish to contribute to this most worthy of causes.
