Identification

Year 7

  • any student who is predicted a step 4+ for the end of year 7 as well as gaining over 120 on their quantitative CAT scores will be considered GIFTED
  • any student who is predicted a step 4 for the end of year 7 and whose teacher feels exhibits traits of a more able student will be considered MORE ABLE.

Year 8

  • any student who is predicted a step 5+ for the end of year 7 as well as gaining over 120 on their quantitative CAT scores will be considered GIFTED
  • any student who is predicted a step 5 for the end of year 7 and whose teacher feels exhibits traits of a more able student will be considered MORE ABLE.

Year 9

  • any student who is predicted a step 6+ for the end of year 7 as well as gaining over 120 on their quantitative CAT scores will be considered GIFTED
  • any student who is predicted a step 6 for the end of year 7 and whose teacher feels exhibits traits of a more able student will be considered MORE ABLE.

Year 10 and 11

  • any student predicted a 9 (these predictions are based on KS3 results and CAT scores) will be considered as GIFTED
  • any student predicted a 8 and whose teacher feels exhibits traits of a more able student will be considered MORE ABLE.
