In 2009 St. Crispin’s was awarded the status as a Higher Performing Specialist School (HPSS), one of only 89 schools to meet all 3 entry criteria nationwide. As a result we were asked to take on a second specialism and we opted to become a Leadership Partner School. We began the new specialism in April 2009, one of just 60 Partner schools. The objective of the specialism is to act as hubs for the development of outstanding leadership and succession planning working closely with the Youth Sports Trust and the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children’s Services.
As an individual school we have 3 main objectives:
1. Improve standards of leadership across the authority and beyond, create succession planning capacity.
2. Improve the standards of leadership in student population in and outside of St. Crispin’s.
3. Develop leadership in St. Crispin’s staff to further raise standards and increase succession planning capacity.
This is a hugely exciting challenge and one which the school is really enjoying. We have put up our plans and reviews in this area of website for those interested in seeing our work.
