| Comments: | One of the first intake, assigned our classes then had to carry desks, chairs etc to our class room, it was all very new but made a lot of different friends unfortunately some have passed away. All three of my children went to the school, the eldest now 48 scary. Re-married to Helen and retired to Cyprus where we have been for the last 10 1/2 years, the warm and very sunny weather makes the aches and pains of old age more bearable. Many Cypriot friends but still not fluent in the language but getting there. Anybody from that opening year remembering me please get in touch. |

| Comments: | It seems so long ago, so many faces and memories. But of all the schools I was to attend I think St Crispins is my favorite. Would love to hear from anyone who knew me then as I have just moved back to Wokingham |

| Comments: | Army brat, I joined in 2nd year after returning from Belfast. The classes were huge so the Head would not let me go into 2A. Stuck in 2C with a promise to move me up ASAP. They never did, so I had to keep in the top 3 to move up a stream each year, ending up in 4X.Remember Miss Gilbert for English, Dick Tracy(Maths) who favoured the best 4 boys and left the rest of us behind.Mr Bevan for Music used to point at his fingers and we had to sing the note it meant. I hated French, loved PE and English. In no order I remember Kay Darbourne was Head Girl in 5th year, Janice Hutton, Sue King, Christine Riley, Lyn Burden (brill at basketball), Brian Potter (maths swot!!),George Rawlings, Nigel Read, Sally Watson, Violet Reddick, Karen Wood, Catherine Appleby,Erik Wreford, Philip Dove,Gerard Davis and Kim Darby, Lance Foy who nicknamed me Killer(admittedly it was after I had said I was going to kill him) and Vicky Marshall.I recall a few others but I hated their guts, so I will not bother to name them!!Had to go to Reading Tech to get more O levels as girls did not do Physics and Chemistry at St C. Qualified as a Biochemist after ONC and HNC. Married, widowed with 2 children, married again, just became a grandma. Have yet to win lottery, but must not grumble. I do have fond memories of the school and I am really pleased that the mural was restored. |
