Examples of students’ work above

Art  opens  up  new  ways  of  seeing  and  develops  creativity, explores values, deals with feelings and sensibility, appreciates cultural diversity and develops both physical and perceptual skills. “Creativity is not a special faculty with which some children are endowed and others are not but a form of intelligence and as such can be developed and trained like any other mode of thinking…..it requires discipline, previous experience and a firm grounding in knowledge.” The Arts in Schools 1982

Valuables in school

Students who study GCSE or A-Level photography are allowed to use their own cameras. Cameras should be delivered to the Photography Department at the beginning of the school day where they are stored safely under the school’s care. All cameras should be collected from secure storage before 3.30pm. We regret that we cannot take liability for cameras on the way to or from school.
